ANTHOLOGY SENIOR LIVING’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19 / JANUARY 29
January 29, 2021
To our residents, families, and team members:
January has brought not only a new calendar year but also a new and hopeful phase of confronting the pandemic, with the introduction of the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines.
I have been intently monitoring the progress of our Anthology vaccination clinics, which are administered onsite by our Walgreens/PharMerica and CVS/Omnicare pharmacy partners. Currently, 21 of our 23 operating communities have completed their first-round clinics. Second and third clinics at each community will allow every resident and team member to receive both rounds of this two-part vaccine. I send my sincerest thanks to everyone participating in this vaccination effort.
I also want to emphasize that Anthology is proceeding with cautious optimism, in adherence with national, state, and local safety guidelines. While the vaccine is a monumental first step, safety precautions and restrictions do remain necessary. As health authorities determine and communicate local post-vaccination protocols, we will in turn adjust our protocols and keep you informed.
A quick look at our active case count: Among 1,349 residents, we have 15 cases, a rate of approximately 1%. Among team members, we have 11 cases. Most cases continue to be detected through our proactive testing program.
I wish to acknowledge this month’s celebration of the birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr., whose brilliant legacy enhances our country and each of our lives. I share with you a meaningful statement from King that I hope resonates as strongly with you as it does with me: “Our ultimate end must be the creation of the beloved community.” I am proud that at Anthology Senior Living, our mission is to foster warmth, joy, and connection for every member of our own dynamic communities.
We will continue to update you and maintain clear and open lines of communication. As always, feel free to reach out to your community's Executive Director, or to our corporate team at information@anthologyseniorliving.com.
Sincerely,
Benjamin Burke
President, Anthology Senior Living
NOTE: These guidelines apply to all Anthology Senior Living communities except Anthology of Tanglewood as the community is currently operating as an unlicensed 55+ community. Separate guidelines are in place for Anthology of Tanglewood.
